Is there a travel fee for mobile grooming in Cambridge?
No travel fee inside Cambridge at all. That includes Galt, Preston and Hespeler. I am based on Bismark Drive in Cambridge, so the whole city is in my regular route.
If you are in Kitchener, Waterloo, Ayr or parts of Guelph, a small travel fee of $15 to $30 is added depending on how far you are from Cambridge. The booking wizard calculates it automatically when you enter your address.
What affects the price?
A few things can move a quote up from the base rate:
- Coat condition. If a dog has not been groomed in 3 or more months, their coat usually needs more time and effort. I add a surcharge to cover the extra work involved in safe de-matting.
- Dog size. Bigger dogs take longer. The brush-out ranges above reflect size fairly directly.
- How many services. More services in one visit means more time. It also unlocks the 20% bundle discount when you book 3 or more.
I always show the quote before you confirm anything. The booking wizard gives you a price range based on your dog's size and services selected. No surprises when I arrive.
How to pay less: discounts and the loyalty program
I offer three ways to save:
- 30% off your first visit. Applied automatically when I confirm your booking. You do not need a code.
- 20% off when you book 3 or more services in one visit. Nails, teeth brushing and ear cleaning together, for example, gets you 20% off the whole bundle.
- Free $30 gift card after 10 completed bookings. I track it for you. No app, no sign-up.
The first-visit and bundle discounts do not stack. I always apply whichever saves you more.
How does mobile grooming cost compare to salon grooming in Cambridge?
For standalone services like nail trims and teeth brushing, mobile pricing is generally comparable to what you would pay at a salon in Cambridge. The difference is that you are not paying for your dog to sit in a cage waiting for their turn, and neither of you has to make a car trip.
For brush outs, mobile grooming can cost a bit more than a volume salon, but you are getting one-on-one time with a single groomer for the entire session rather than being passed between staff. For anxious dogs, seniors or dogs that struggle in group environments, the difference in stress level alone is worth it.
